Issues of socio-economic development of Tashkent districts discussed

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 30 August this year, a working group led by Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade Jamshid Khodjaev and composed of the relevant heads of relevant departments left for Chilanzar district of Tashkent to study the current state of its social economic and infrastructure development.

During the visit, the activities of a number of production facilities were studied, and topical issues and problems that they face in practice were discussed with local entrepreneurs and manufacturers.

In particular, the group got acquainted with the activities of the KENT FOOD yarn factory and the FINLAND BUTTER confectionery factory. During the visit to the enterprises, the entrepreneurs spoke in detail about the technological process, presented plans for further expansion of production and voiced the existing problematic issues, which were immediately taken under control. Responsible leaders were instructed to take action to address them.

Also during the visit in the format of a videoconference with the leadership of the authorities of Chilanzar and other districts of Tashkent, a meeting was held on improving the efficiency of ongoing work to enhance investment, industrial and trade activities, create new jobs and increase incomes of the population.

It was instructed to conduct an inventory of more than 60,000 registered enterprises in the city districts, identify reserves for creating additional jobs for the local population, and create conditions for obtaining the necessary qualifications and professional skills.

As a result of the meeting, the heads of ministries, departments and local authorities were given targeted instructions to further stimulate the integrated development of the districts of Tashkent.
