Uzbek leader said that he is delighted to congratulate women with 8 March - International Women’s Day and express the best wishes.

President said that the God embodied the noblest human qualities in women. He said that women are creating strong foundation for family and upbringing children in spirit of love and devotion to Motherland and people.

People, who highly rate and take care about women, create all conditions for them, should be respected. He said that Uzbekistan always underline important contribution of women to development and prosperity of Uzbekistan and its achievement. “We admire our women since ancient times for their inherent qualities such as hard work, generosity, kindness, generosity, ability to be true homemakers, and always consider themselves indebted to them,” Uzbek head said.

Uzbek President Islam Karimov said that currently women are actively working in legislative and executive powers, as well in NGOs, industry and agriculture, education, healthcare, science, culture, etc. He said that over 50% of employed in economy and social sector are women.

President of Uzbekistan underlined that the country should continue work on improving conditions for life and work for women, protection of family, motherhood and childhood, improving knowledge of children, especially girls.

Islam Karimov recalled that Uzbekistan announced 2013 as the Year of Well-Being and Prosperity and 60% of state budget expenses will be directed to social sector. He added that salaries, allowances and pensions will be increased by 23% in average in 2013.

Uzbek leader said that the volume of consumer loans will be increased to purchase home appliances and other goods of long use.

Overall, it is planned to direct 6.65 trillion soums to implementation of the state programme “The Year of Well-Being and Prosperity, he said.

In his message, President Islam Karimov wished strong health, well-being and success in their endeavors, kindness and love.
