Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A delegation from the National Agency for Prospective Projects is participating in the international conference dedicated to disaster risk financing.

The event is organized by the World Bank in partnership with the Turkish Catastrophe Insurance Pool (TCIP), the Insurance Development Forum, and the Disaster Risk Financing Academy.

Experts and officials from 13 countries are taking part in the forum, including Algeria, Albania, Djibouti, Egypt, Georgia, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Morocco, Tajikistan, Tunisia, and Turkey. The presence of Uzbekistan’s delegation at the conference underscores the country's commitment to developing modern disaster risk management mechanisms and strengthening economic resilience.

The primary goal of the event is to support the establishment of a catastrophe insurance market in participating countries by fostering public-private partnerships (PPP). During the conference, there will be an exchange of global best practices and an analysis of successful PPP case studies, which will promote the more effective implementation of innovative approaches in catastrophe risk insurance.

The conference provides a unique platform for dialogue between regulators, insurance companies, and international financial institutions aimed at minimizing the impacts of natural and technological disasters.
