The delegation was headed by chairperson of the Committee on Religious Affairs under the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan Ortiq Yusupov. It included chairperson of Uzbekistan Muslims’ Board Muftiy Usmanhon Alimov and head of department of Uzbekistan Muslims’ Board Abdulhamid Tursunov.

During the visit, the delegation of Uzbekistan held talks with Minister of Hajj Affairs of Saudi Arabia Bandar bin Mohammed Hajjar in Jeddah and head of Organization of Representatives Union in Jeddah Ahmed Bashar. The Uzbek officials also met with members of the Commission on national organizations on rendering services to pilgrims from Turkey, Europe, America and Austria led by chairperson Tarik bin Muhammed Ankarai.

At the meetings, the Saudi side highly rated efforts of the Uzbek side on organization of pilgrimage and met all requirements, set by the Ministry of Saudi Arabia.

The Saudi side also highly rated work of Uzbek working group, which render all services to pilgrims. The Saudi officials noted that organization of Hajj of the Uzbek side is gives as good example for other nations.

The Uzbek delegation also visited the Uzbek pilgrims, who are carrying out Umrah pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia.
