The committee said that foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan with the CIS states reached US$12.402 billion (+12.4% year-on-year) and with other states – US$13.884 billion (-7.6% y-o-y) in the reporting period.
According to the committee, exports of Uzbekistan made up US$14.259 billion in 2012, which is 5.1% less year-on-year, while imports of Uzbekistan rose by 9% year-on-year to US$12.028 billion in January-December 2012.
Uzbekistan exported goods and services to the CIS states for US$7.738 billion (+15.1% y-o-y) and to other countries – US$6.521 billion (-21.4% y-o-y).
The committee added that imports from the CIS states grew by 8% year-on-year to US$4.665 billion and to other states – by 9.6% year-on-year to US$7.363 billion.
Unbalance in foreign trade was 118.5% versus 136.1% in the corresponding period of the previous year.
Balance of external trade was US$2.231 billion, of which US$3.073 billion fell to share of the CIS countries and minus US$842.1 million – to other foreign countries.
