The press-service said that the Council of the Senate held a session and adopted resolution on calling of the tenth session of the Senate of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan on 5 March 2013.

The session will consider several laws of Uzbekistan, directed at further reforming and liberalizing all spheres of political and social-economic life.

In particular, the Senators will discuss law “On citizen’s self-governing bodies”, law “On election of chairpersons of self-governing bodies”, law “On road traffic security”, and other documents.

They will also consider a law “On ratification of agreement between Republic of Uzbekistan and Republic of Korea on legal aid to civil and economic affairs” (Seoul, 20 September 2012).

Upper house of the Uzbek parliament will consider activities of Human Rights Commissionaire, Accounts Chamber, Prosecutor-General’s Office, State Nature Committee of Uzbekistan in 2012. Senators will discuss information of Ministry of Justice on implementation of laws by state bodies, law and controlling bodies in 2012.

Senators will also consider several other issues of the jurisdiction of the Senate.
