The industrial output of the region rose by 4.8% in 2012, production of consumer goods – 3.6%, production of agriculture goods - 6.3%, construction works – 11.1%, retail trade turnover – 13.1% and paid services – 13.5%, UzA reported.

In industry, the region implemented 385 projects and launched production of new products. Small and private businesses received loans for 243.4 billion soums.

In 2012, the region created 73,800 new jobs, of which 81% fell to share of small businesses.
