The draft concept was considered at the session of the Board of the State Committee for communication, information and telecommunication technologies of Uzbekistan.

The draft concept on development of Uzbekistan Pochtasi for 2013-2017 was developed in line with the law “On postal communication” and resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan “On improvement of activities in postal communication”.

The document is directed at ensuring access of state bodies, businesses, enterprises and organizations, population to modern communication services via postal communication office of Uzbekistan Pochtasi.

The concept implementation will solve such issues as modernization of assets of Uzbekiston Pochtasi to provide services via ICT, increase investments to develop postal infrastructure, develop postal and financial services, e-commerce, etc.

The Board of the Committee said that Uzbekistan Pochtasi should pay attention to development and enforcement of the concept.
