Creation of billing system for communal services discussed in Tashkent
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A roundtable “Creation of billing system and single clientele database for communal services” has been held in Tashkent on 19 February 2013.

The event was organized by Ministry of Finance of Uzbekistan, Uzkommunhizmat Agency, Tashkent city Administration, and UNDP Project "Local Governance Support: Participation and Partnership".

The Government of Uzbekistan adopts measures on modernization of system of communal infrastructure in largest cities of Uzbekistan, raise efficiency and reliability of works of communal system, as well as quality of services.

The Government decided to create single technical requirements, standards and parameters for clientele base and billing system to improve services to population.

The Government of Uzbekistan in cooperation with UNDP project is planning to create a single project “Single automated system on accounting consumption of communal services, heating, water, gas, electricity and sanitary services”.

The roundtable was aimed at discussing current system of communal services in order to modernize system on rendering of service, satisfy demands of consumers, create single system of clientele and billing.

Some 50 representatives of ministries and departments, UNDP and mass media participated at the event.

At the meeting, the participants considered current system of accounting of clients, payments for communal services, creation of billing system and clientele base, etc.
