Central Bank of Uzbekistan Signs MoU with ERGO Analytics
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the research center ERGO Analytics have signed a memorandum of scientific and academic cooperation.
The document is aimed at developing a strategic partnership, combining the scientific potential of both sides, and expanding the use of evidence-based approaches in the formation of economic policy.
As part of the cooperation, joint scientific research is planned, including an experimental study in the format of a cluster randomized controlled trial (cluster RCT). The project will cover 90 mahallas in the Fergana, Andijan, and Namangan regions and will involve 2,700 participants. The study is designed to assess the effectiveness of behavioral interventions related to improving savings behavior and financial literacy among the population.
The agreement also provides for the preparation and publication of joint academic articles in international journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science. In addition, the parties plan to organize scientific and practical events, seminars, training sessions, and knowledge exchange programs.
ERGO Analytics is an independent research center that has implemented more than 20 research projects and cooperates with government agencies and international partners.
The cooperation is viewed as a step toward strengthening evidence-based financial policy in Uzbekistan and advancing evidence-based policy approaches in the fields of economics and finance.
