Zarafshan reports four sets of twins born in one day

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Four sets of twins were born within a single day in the city of Zarafshan in Uzbekistan’s Navoi region, the Health Ministry reported.

According to the ministry’s press service, the rare occurrence took place at the maternity unit of the city medical association, where four women were admitted and later gave birth to twins.

According to the ministry:

— Kamola Sadinova gave birth to two boys;

— Maftuna Toirova gave birth to a boy and a girl;

— Mehriniso Nasriddinova gave birth to a boy and a girl;

— Shahlo Ravshanova gave birth to a boy and a girl.

All deliveries were successfully conducted with the participation of experienced obstetricians-gynecologists, neonatologists and resuscitation specialists.

At present, the mothers and newborns are under medical supervision. Their condition is reported to be satisfactory.

According to the Ministry of Health, in the first quarter of 2026, a total of 4,363 cases of twin births were recorded in Uzbekistan.

Of these, 4,231 were twin deliveries, while 132 cases involved triplets and higher-order multiple births.
