A three-year moratorium will be announced on the introduction of new types of liability and penalties against entrepreneurs

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan will announce a three-year moratorium on the introduction of new types of liability and penalties against entrepreneurs. This was stated by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev during a dialogue with entrepreneurs.

The head of Uzbekistan announced that a three-year moratorium would be announced on the introduction of new types of liability and penalties against entrepreneurs.

Also, in case of adoption of new legislative acts that impose new obligations on entrepreneurs, entrepreneurs will not be punished for making a mistake within 6 months.

As the President noted, a lot of complaints were received from representatives of small businesses regarding the large number and severity of fines associated with tax audits.

For example, today more than 370,000 small businesses that are payers of turnover tax pay an average of about 1 million soums of tax per month.

However, the financial fine for not issuing a cashier’s check is from 5 million to 10 million soums, and the administrative fine is from 3 million to 12 million soums.

This means that the punishment is the same for both small entrepreneurs and large enterprises.
