“Yangi Avlod” celebrity-boat
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 17 November, “Istiqlol” Palace turned into a magical place, where children’s dreams come true, joy and happiness surround everyone, where fun and celebrations reign. 587 laureates of “Yangi avlod” Children’s Creativity Festival participated in final gala concert together with Uzbek celebrities, and received honorable prizes, presents and grants. The brightest and the most cheerful project of Fund Forum presented the most talented children from all corners of the country to the audience.

Concert was held in the format of improvised sailing on the ship that gathered the winners of different nominations of “Yangi Avlod” Festival on its deck-scene throughout the voyage: little musicians, singers, dancers, those who play on national instruments, little artists and beginner poets and journalists, and also famous Uzbek artists who shared the big stage with small stars, presented them with diplomas and showed their sincere happiness about their first victory.

“Ey nozanin” composition in “bakhshi” genre opened the concert. With the appearance of “Asal” dancing group dressed as sailors, dark stage suddenly turned into bright and big boat of childhood that bravely sails toward life full of victories. Magical boat “Yangi Avlod” started its enticing journey, carrying away everyone in the audience with it.

Everyone was a part of celebrations on a magic boat this evening ... The winners from various regions of Uzbekistan: Surkhandarya, Namangan, Khorezm, Bukhara and Tashkent, starred with musical performance that speaks for itself "Orzu" (Dream). Every child has a dream and for many it came true this evening. Performing on the biggest stage of the country with celebrity artists, to get prizes and the kind advice from them, to see the happy eyes of their parents, who rejoice in every achievement of their children, to break a storm of applause – is this not a dream?

Evening program could not leave anyone indifferent. Navoi dance ensemble "Zabava" (“Fun”) presented a perky show "Yablochki” (“Apples"), followed by the song "Chayhana” (“Teahouse") performed by honored artists of Uzbekistan Sardor Rahimhon, Ulugbek Rakhmatullaev, Shahriyor and the winners of Yangi avlod-2010 Angelika Khmelnytskaya and Nodirbek Babayev from Tashkent, re-made in “rap” style. All this was a preface to awarding the winners of Yangi avlod-2010 in the nomination “B”- vocals (traditional singing, academic singing, pop), hosted by Sardor Rahimhon and Ulugbek Rakhmatullayev.

Fun boat once again turned into a scene: classical music pieces "Pursuit" and "Toccata" were performed by two and four hands by Daria Kiseleva, Abdurashidzhon Zakirov and Abduaziz Abdunazarov. Their tunes sailed the “Yangi Avlod” boat to deeper “waters”, carrying all the "passengers" toward new musical journeys. Honored Artist of Uzbekistan Galina Yaroshina and professor of the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan R. Kasimov awarded the winners in the nominations "A" - classical instruments (piano, strings, brass and drums) and "C" - National Instruments (Strings, plucked, drums).

The group of frisky cowboy dancers’ performance of the ensemble "Vozrojdenie" from Bukhara passed the torch to a whole bouquet of dance numbers: energetic Karakalpak, expressive Tatar, passionate Spanish, charming gypsy, and hot Caucasian Azeri and Georgian dances were performed by teams from Navoi, Nukus, Tashkent and Tashkent region. Next to the winners of “Yangi Avlod” were joined by the winner of the Talented Youth “Kelajak Ovozi” contest, group “Durdona”. Together they performed a lively "Lambada", danced by the group "Neposedi" (Navoi) and "Asal" (Tashkent). Afterwards, the director of Republic Music Academic Liceum by V.Uspensky and poet Bobur Bobomurod awarded the winners in the nomination “D” - Dance (national, ballroom, sports, modern, and ballet art).

Potpourri "Cities" sent the travelers on a journey of wonderful cities of Uzbekistan. Songs “Gazli”, “Shakhrisabz", "Samarkand", "Tashkent" gathered a whole galaxy of famous Uzbek singers on the scene: People's Artist of Uzbekistan Nasiba Abdullayeva, Honored Artist Samandar Hamrokulov, Rukhshona, Oybek and Nigora. Then, under the loud applause Honored Artist of Uzbekistan Hosila Rakhimova and lead singer of "Bojalar" Jahangir Poziljonov congratulated the winners in the nomination "E" - Arts (crafts and fine arts) and «F» - poetry, literature and theater script.

Shohruh Khalilov from Tashkent and ensembles “Kamalak", "Sanat gunchalari" (Tashkent region, "Asal" (Tashkent) and Zulfizar Chodieva from Bukhara presented dance and song in the style of "Mavrigi”. Folk genre gave turn to completely childish, light, and playful "Chunga-Changa" performed by group "Bojalar” – winners of the Festival in the nomination “the string and percussion instruments” and, of course, young dancers, who turned the scene into a flowering meadow. The show also included the potpourri "Ona Diyor" (Motherland), composition "Lazgi”, lyric hit of the Belgian singer Salvatore Adamo “Tombe la neige” that was performed by Honored Artist of Uzbekistan Rashid Khalikov and the winner of "Yangi avlod 2010” Sarvar Zoirov.

This evening there were first two “Kings of Pop”: Anna Gurdjieva and Nodirbek Saidov, who were later joined by a star of “Yangi avlod 2009”, performing two songs of Michael Jackson. Traditional Uzbek karnay and surnay, American hits and talented children created a real drive-cocktail on the scene that was warmly welcomed by the audience. But then we heard the Indian rhythms and barefoot girls in bright saris and bracelets filled the stage, taking away the guests to the country of spices and dynamic dancing.

Costumes of children are another miracle of the concert that only the luckiest travelers can see. Ensemble of colorful dressed did not eclipse childishness and talent. At first glance it was obvious that the parents and teachers prepared very seriously for a festival. Thought out styles, accessories, fabrics, most vivid colors, sequins, glitter, hats, make up – everything flickered and shimmered with unusual color on children.

In the finale of the gala concert the author of the project “Yangi Avlod”, the chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Fund Forum – Gulnara Karimova came on stage. She congratulated all the participants of the ceremony, awarded the winners of the Festival and for the first time in the history of the project granted awards to the most active leaders of ensembles:

- Fatima Dzhurabaeva, head of the group "Tantana" (Tashkent);

- Viktor Osipov, head of the group "Jilga” (Akhangaran city);

- Sayyora Saidalieva, head of the group "Navruzi ajam” (Akkurgan district).

So, the most talented children of the country by the results of "Yangi Avlod-2010” gathered together on stage at the helm of glory. Together with Gulnara Karimova, they performed a song, and anthem of the Festival, dropping the curtain behind this project of the Fund Forum. The deafening noise of the applause resembled the sea tide, no ceasing and loudening. This year’s voyage concert of “Yangi Avlod” Festival will remain in the memory of all guests and the participant for a long time. And of course, everyone who visited this incredible concert of children's creativity will be looking forward to new voices of “Yangi Avlod”.

Manfred Tichy, chief secretary of the company BCS (Austria):

- I was a spectator of the concert of talented students at the school of ballet of Vienna opera, but what I saw today on the stage in Tashkent - impressed me deeply! Children in Uzbekistan are not only very talented, but also disciplined. 6-year old children performed on the stage, but their work before the public created the impression that they have a 10-year stage experience behind them. There is a great work of parents and teachers behind this success. All this forms admiration and great respect for the work of the participants and organizers of the Festival. It is great that all these charming children have the opportunity to show themselves and to please the audience with their energy and talent. Holding such events is very important for the younger generation. I am sure that this project, which motivates children to develop their talents – has great future!
