Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a resolution on measures to implement the Clean Energy for Buildings in Uzbekistan project with the participation of the World Bank. The total cost of the project is US$175.6 million.
The document notes that the Board of Directors of the World Bank approved the allocation of a loan in the amount of US$143 million for the implementation of the project. The loan is allocated for a period of 30 years with a 5-year grace period.
The head of Uzbekistan approved the technical and economic parameters of the Clean Energy for Buildings in Uzbekistan project with the participation of the World Bank.
Within the framework of the project, it is planned to modernize over 800 institutions in the areas of preschool, school education and healthcare.
The roadmap for the implementation of the Project was also approved, which provides for the formation by May 2023 of a list of facilities provided for reconstruction (modernization) under the Project.
