Uzbekistan to introduce a deferment for some fees when crossing the state border

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers “On a more streamlined organization of the movement of vehicles and simplification of control procedures at checkpoints on the State Border of the Republic of Uzbekistan” was adopted, Norma reports.

From 1 January 2024, fees subject to collection during state control of vehicles arriving in the republic and in transit can be paid in the customs territory. The exception is the fee for the entry of foreign vehicles into the country and transit, as well as the customs fee for escorting vehicles under customs control.

Fees are paid in national currency.

Receipts for payment of fees are generated in the E-tranzit system and can be paid using a QR code.

Fees must be paid within the following deadlines:

- for vehicles loaded with goods under customs control - within the delivery period;

- in other cases – within 10 calendar days from the moment of crossing the border.

For violation of deadlines for payment of fees, a penalty is charged in the amount of 1/300 of the Central Bank refinancing rate per day. At the same time, in case of non-payment of fees and penalties:

- it is prohibited to export a vehicle outside the republic and to move it;

- if the deadlines for payment of fees are violated within one calendar year, the person is prohibited from paying fees in the customs territory.
