Uzbekistan Showcases National Pavilion at RES 2026 Expo

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 23 April in Astana, the Republic of Uzbekistan presented its National Pavilion at the RES 2026 EXPO international exhibition held within the framework of the Regional Environmental Summit. The exposition serves as a modern exhibition and presentation platform reflecting key priorities of state policy in ecology, climate change, and sustainable development.

The pavilion, covering an area of approximately 100–120 square meters, is designed as a multifunctional space combining exhibition, multimedia, and negotiation zones. Its concept is aimed at demonstrating Uzbekistan’s systematic and regionally oriented approach to addressing environmental challenges in Central Asia, as well as promoting practical initiatives implemented in the country.

The content of the exhibition highlights Uzbekistan’s contribution to mitigating the consequences of the Aral Sea crisis, developing a green economy, preserving biodiversity, and fostering environmental culture. Special attention is given to expanding regional cooperation and engagement with international organizations, primarily United Nations structures.

The exposition is structured around key national environmental initiatives, including “Waste-Free Territory,” “Clean Air,” “Green Space,” “Ecoculture,” “Biodiversity Heritage,” and environmental education through the Green University initiative, focused on science development, human capital, and innovation.

Functionally, the pavilion includes an entrance area presenting Uzbekistan as a regional environmental leader, thematic zones, an interactive multimedia section, and a negotiation space for meetings and presentations. A dedicated partnership zone showcases joint programs with international organizations and regional initiatives for the 2026–2030 period.

The design of the pavilion incorporates modern eco-friendly materials and solutions, emphasizing sustainability and accessibility for different categories of visitors, including official delegations, international experts, media representatives, and youth.

A key component of the exposition is the presentation of sectoral ministries, agencies, and leading companies demonstrating the practical implementation of green transformation principles and ESG approaches.

Achievements in renewable energy, environmentally sustainable industrial technologies, green economy development, investment attraction into environmental projects, and expanded international cooperation are also showcased.

The National Pavilion of Uzbekistan became one of the central platforms of the exhibition, clearly demonstrating the country’s environmental reforms, science-based approaches, and active role in shaping the regional environmental agenda.
