According to the committee, Uzbekistan produced 9.1 million square meters of non-woven materials like fabric in the reporting period, which grew by 26.2% year-on-year.

Production of knitwork in Uzbekistan grew by 28.1% year-on-year in January-June 2011 and made up 35.8 million units.

In the reporting period, the enterprises of Uzbekistan produced 7,772 tonnes of stockinet, which fell by 13.5% year-on-year.

Production of raw silk threats grew by 54.9% to 81,000 tonnes, carpets and carpet products – by 9.1% to 267,000 square meters. Uzbekistan manufactured 766,900 square meters of silk fabrics (-16.5%).

Production of hosiery products grew 6.2 times year-on-year to 568,500 pairs in January-June 2011. Uzbekistan also manufactured 3.4 million square decimeters of leather products.
