Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Negotiations between the aviation administrations of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan were held in Tashkent on 2 March 2023.
During the negotiations, under the leadership of the Deputy Minister of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jasurbek Choriyev and the Chairman of the Civil Aviation Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan Talgat Lastaev, issues of developing cooperation in the field of civil aviation, increasing the number of regular flights to agreed directions were discussed.
As a result of the negotiations, the parties reached the following agreements on expanding bilateral cooperation in the field of civil aviation:
- increase in the number of regular flights on the routes Astana-Tashkent-Astana and Almaty-Tashkent-Almaty;
- appointment of additional 5 cities on the territory of Kazakhstan (Karaganda, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Pavlodar, Kokeshtau, Taraz) for regular passenger flights of Uzbek airlines;
- appointment of additional 6 cities on the territory of Uzbekistan (Karshi, Ferghana, Bukhara, Andijan, Navoi, Termez) for regular passenger flights of Kazakh airlines.
