Uzbekistan, Jiangsu discuss new investment projects
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 28 April, a roundtable was held in the city of Nanjing with the participation of a delegation from Uzbekistan led by Deputy Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade Ilzat Kasimov, together with representatives of leading companies from China’s Jiangsu province.
More than 30 major enterprises took part in the event, expressing interest in expanding cooperation with Uzbekistan and implementing new investment initiatives.
The central focus of the discussions was the investment potential of Uzbekistan’s regions, including the Republic of Karakalpakstan, as well as Jizzakh and Bukhara regions.
During the talks, the sides examined in detail opportunities for establishing industrial clusters and technoparks, as well as prospects for deeper production cooperation.
Particular attention was given to the healthcare sector, where participants outlined potential directions for launching joint projects and developing medical tourism with the involvement of Chinese investors.
