Uzbekistan approves aviation protocol with Kuwait

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a resolution on 14 May 2026 approving a protocol on amendments to the intergovernmental air services agreement between Uzbekistan and Kuwait.

The protocol was signed in Kuwait on 17 February 2025 and introduces amendments to the original agreement concluded between the two countries on 19 January 2004.

The Ministry of Transport has been designated as the competent authority responsible for the practical implementation of the international agreement.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been instructed to send an official notification to the Kuwaiti side confirming that Uzbekistan has completed all necessary domestic procedures for the document’s entry into force, as well as to inform it of the designated responsible agency.
