Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov held a telephone conversation on 16 May with Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister, and Senator of Pakistan Mohammad Ishaq Dar.

The sides discussed the current situation in the region and the development of bilateral cooperation between Uzbekistan and Pakistan.

During the conversation, the importance of Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts aimed at strengthening peace and stability was noted. The two sides exchanged views on key regional processes, emphasizing the importance of maintaining constructive dialogue.

Special attention was given to the positive dynamics of Uzbekistan–Pakistan relations and prospects for their further expansion.

The discussions focused on trade and economic cooperation, as well as the development of transport and logistics links, which are of strategic importance for strengthening regional connectivity.

Both sides also stressed the need to implement agreements reached at the highest level and highlighted the importance of maintaining regular contacts between the foreign ministries of the two countries to coordinate further steps.
