Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan will launch construction of joint car plant in April.
An automobile plant will appear in the Chui region, not far from Bishkek. It is planned that 600 cars will be produced from the assembly line this year, Sputnik Uzbekistan reports.
“At the first stage, it is planned to produce 10 thousand cars within 3 years, at the second - 20 thousand, and 30 thousand at the third stage,” said Ainura Usenbekova, Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan.
A total of 19 models have been approved for production, the Cobalt cars will be the first to be produced.
