Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan Boost Industrial Cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A delegation from Uzbekistan led by Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade Laziz Kudratov visited Azerbaijan from 22 to 24 April 2026, holding a series of meetings with representatives of the Ministry of Economy and senior executives of leading Azerbaijani companies.

During the visit, the sides discussed preparations for joint events and the implementation of new initiatives, including the launch of production projects, industrial cooperation development, and participation in an international urban forum. They also reviewed prospects for expanding industrial interaction and deepening business partnerships.

Special attention was given to identifying priority areas of cooperation. These included mining, construction materials production, transport and logistics, urban development, the agro-industrial complex, and the pharmaceutical sector.

Separately, the parties discussed projects to establish an “Uzbekistan Park” in Baku and an “Azerbaijan Park” in Tashkent, as well as the development of pharmacy networks and initiatives for processing fruit and vegetable products.

According to official data, trade turnover between the two countries reached 307.3 million US dollars in 2025, marking a 14.6 percent increase compared to the previous period, reflecting steady growth in economic cooperation.
