Uzbekistan Airways to launch new airport building at Tashkent Airport
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan Havo Yollari (Uzbekistan Airways), national airline of Uzbekistan, is completing construction of new airport building for local flights at Tashkent Airport. The building will be commissioned on the eve of the 20th anniversary of Uzbekistan’s Independence.

In line with the presidential decree “On additional measures for further developing infrastructure of Tashkent Airport” from 11 March 2010, Tashgiprogor OJSC developed a project and estimates of new airport building. The cost of the project is over 90 billion soums.

It is worth to mention that new two-storeyed airport building, which meets international standards, will have capacity of 400 passengers an hour.

The airline said it created all facilities for passengers at terminal 3 – modern furniture, cash desks, room for mothers and children, medical point, drugstore and café-bar.

It is planned that new airport building will be commissioned in August 2011. The launch of the building will help to increase number of passengers, using internal flights of Uzbekistan Havo Yollari, and rendering services at international requirements.
