Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 21 September, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov held a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland Zbigniew Rau.

“We had a productive meeting with the head of the Polish Foreign Ministry Zbigniew Rau. As highlighted, there is huge potential in the areas of trade and investment, especially in the textile industry. Over the past two years, Poland has become the largest importer of our goods in the EU.

Last year, Poland's share of textile products imported by EU countries from Uzbekistan amounted to almost 45%. We agreed to further strengthen the dialogue within the EU, UN, OSCE and WTO. Our agenda also included aspects of cooperation in the field of labor migration and education, as well as exchange of views on regional and global issues,” noted the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.
