Embassy of Uzbekistan in Belgium held negotiations with representatives of the Association of Industrial Enterprises “Agoria” to develop issues related to the visit of the Uzbek businesses to the European country.

During the meeting, the Belgian side handed over list of enterprises, specializing in production of agriculture equipment, including equipment for cattle-breeding farms, farms and garden equipment

The Belgian side informed that it is planned to hold annual agriculture and cattle-breeding fair with the participation of largest European companies in Libramont, Belgium.

According to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan, trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Belgium grew by 31.2% year-on-year in the first quarter of 2011 to US$16.4 million (US$12.5 million in January-March 2010).

Exports of Uzbekistan to Belgium grew from US$4.8 million in the first quarter of 2010 to US$9.6 million in the same period of 2011, while import of Uzbekistan from Belgium fell from US$7.7 million to US$6.8 million in the reporting period.
