Turkestan, Tashkent regions expand regional cooperation ties
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A business forum titled “Cooperation Without Borders” was held in Tashkent Region to develop interregional cooperation between Turkestan Region and Tashkent Region.
The event took place in line with instructions from the presidents of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan to strengthen interregional cooperation. The forum brought together official and business delegations from both regions, as well as around 200 entrepreneurs and investors.
The delegation of Turkestan Region was led by regional governor N. Kusherov, while Tashkent Region was represented by regional governor Z. Mirzaev. During the meetings, the sides discussed prospects for expanding trade, economic, investment, and tourism cooperation.
Special attention was given to the development of industrial cooperation and the implementation of the International Center for Industrial Cooperation “Central Asia” project. Participants were also presented with information on the investment and tourism potential of Turkestan Region.
Following the event, the sides agreed to expand business contacts and implement joint investment projects aimed at strengthening economic ties between the regions.
