Established in 2004, today TransUzbekistan is the only exhibition on this subject in Uzbekistan. Holding the event in Tashkent is logical, since Uzbekistan’s geo-strategic location and its unique transit potential allow the country to play an important role in the development of international transport links.
The geographical location of Uzbekistan allows for the transit of goods and passengers by the shortest route in all directions, including routes to seaports. In the country there are 20 international transport routes to the Russian Federation, Ukraine, Europe, the Caucasus, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran, Turkey and China.
Since the launch of TransUzbekistan, over 200 companies have participated in the show, confirming the role of the exhibition as a professional showcase of the transport sector in Uzbekistan.
The central stand at this year’s exhibition will be occupied by Uzbekistan Railways, which this autumn will launch the Afrosiyob high-speed electric train, designed using the unique technology of PATENTES TALGO SL.
Companies from Russia, Czech Republic, Latvia, Iran, Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Switzerland and Finland have also shown interest in the exhibition.
TransUzbekistan 2011 promises to be an ideal platform for discussing the prospects for cooperation in the transport and logistics sector.
