The volume of guaranteed medical care is established at the expense of the state budget in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan adopted an order that establishes the volume of guaranteed medical care financed from the state budget.

Currently, Uzbekistan is actively working to improve the quality and accessibility of medical services. This process involves transforming primary care using new approaches to make it a system for early detection and treatment of diseases. The state allocates significant funds and resources for this purpose.

Previously, many patients visiting family doctors in primary health care settings were given prescriptions for medications. This created certain difficulties for people with chronic diseases, those in need of emergency medical care, as well as for families with limited financial resources.

According to the order of the Ministry of Health, the volumes of guaranteed medical care have been established, which will be provided in family medical centers, family clinics, multidisciplinary central clinics, district (city) central hospitals and maternity hospitals.

These volumes include:

- Guaranteed volumes of medical care provided in medical institutions (including injections, medical care in a day hospital, vaccinations, preventive examinations and examinations, monitoring of patients with chronic diseases).

- Diagnoses included in guaranteed volumes of medical care (for example, hypertensive heart disease, chronic ischemic heart disease, bronchitis, hepatitis, goiter, asthma, diabetes and many others).

- Medicines and medical products (including analeptics, antiallergic, anthelmintic and antiviral drugs, drugs for cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, antibiotics, antidepressants, medical bandages and infusion systems).

Thus, funds from the state budget will be used to provide free medical care in the framework of 520 diagnoses, 28 diagnostic studies, 46 laboratory tests, 235 types of medicines, 27 surgical treatment methods and 76 medical devices. Medicines will be issued for medical reasons with a prescription from family doctors and recommendations from specialists.
