Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers “On measures to organize the activities of the Institute for the Development of Social Protection and the Center for Advanced Training of Social Protection System Workers under the National Social Protection Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan” was adopted.

In accordance with Presidential Decree “On a set of measures to provide high-quality social services and assistance to the population, as well as establishing a system for their effective control,” the National Social Protection Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, its Karakalpak Republican, regional and Tashkent city administrations, as well as Inson social service centers in districts (cities).

The Agency creates a Center for Advanced Training of Social Protection System Workers and an Institute for the Development of Social Protection. The document approved the organizational structure of the Center and the Institute.

The Institute is a state institution engaged in conducting scientific research in the field of social protection of the population, developing scientifically sound, effective and promising proposals for improving this area.

The Center is also a state institution for organizing training courses to improve the skills of workers in areas of activity coordinated and controlled by the Agency, as well as for organizing family orphanages.

Sources of funding for the Institute’s activities:

Republican budget funds;

grants allocated based on the results of competitions held by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation for the implementation of research projects;

income from international grants, contract services;

sponsorship donations from individuals and legal entities;

other sources not prohibited by law;

The center is financed by:

funds from training on a paid contract basis;

income from international grants, contract services;

sponsorship donations from individuals and legal entities;

other sources not prohibited by law.
