Thailand to End Visa-Free Entry for Citizens of Uzbekistan from 15 July 2026

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Citizens of Uzbekistan will be required to obtain a visa to enter Thailand starting 15 July 2026, following the abolition of the current visa-free regime, according to the Dunyo news agency.

The Government of Thailand has approved amendments to its visa-free entry policy and Visa on Arrival (VoA) system. Under the new rules, the 60-day visa-free regime will be removed for citizens of 93 countries, including Uzbekistan.

After official publication in the Royal Gazette, the decision will enter into force within 15 days. The publication is expected next week.

Under the new regulations, Uzbek citizens will no longer be able to enter Thailand without a visa. Applicants will be required to submit an online application through the Thai e-Visa system.

The policy change marks a significant shift in Thailand’s entry requirements and will affect tourism and short-term travel arrangements between the two countries.
