Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, visited Bukhara on a business trip, where he was welcomed by the Khokim of Bukhara Region Botir Zaripov, Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan, Minister of Industry and Trade Oleg Korobchenko, and other officials.

During the visit, the distinguished guests toured the Bahauddin Naqshband Complex, a significant figure in the Islamic world, and learned about the restoration works carried out at the complex, as well as the facilities created for pilgrims.

Minnikhanov also inspected the construction work within the framework of the "Bukhara Industrial Development Complex" project in a special industrial park, where the first phase of work has been completed, and the park is now equipped with the necessary infrastructure.

The visit included discussions on the implementation of direct foreign investments totaling 400 million USD, involving 18 foreign companies.

Furthermore, agreements were signed with companies such as Anhui Conch Cement Company Limited, Ariko, and Energotek for the production of sandwich panels, polyester fibers, and polymer pipes, as well as with Marshal FT and Fort Verniy for developing products for the automotive and mining industries.

The visit also included discussions on further developing the region’s industrial and export potential, attracting investments, and preparing qualified specialists.

Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized the importance of ongoing projects for strengthening bilateral relations and noted that for continued growth, it is essential to keep improving industrial infrastructure and attract promising investors.
