Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A meeting of the Joint Coordination Council on the implementation of the joint project “Strengthening the practice of inclusive education in preschool education in Uzbekistan” was held at the National Agency of Social Protection.

This technical cooperation project is being implemented on the basis of the Minutes of the meeting signed on 11 June 2021 between the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

The joint project is aimed at creating conditions for social adaptation and ensuring the inclusion of children with disabilities of preschool and school age. Ensuring equal opportunities to receive quality education at all stages, starting from early childhood, is an integral part of programs to protect the rights of children with disabilities.

At the meeting, an agreement was signed to amend the Minutes of the meeting “On the implementation of the project to strengthen the practice of inclusive education in preschool education,” as well as to the composition of the Coordination Council for the implementation of the project.

The prospects for joint cooperation in implementing measures for the social protection of children with disabilities were also discussed.
