Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 2 March, Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sarvar Khamidov met with representatives of Standard Chartered Bank (Great Britain) in Tashkent.

During the meeting, the progress of the Bank’s current activity in Uzbekistan and the prospects for attracting its investments in the implementation of new projects in the priority sectors of our country’s economy - metallurgy, energy and infrastructure development were discussed.

The parties also discussed practical aspects of Standard Chartered Bank’s participation in promoting export financing products and the development of the national capital market in the Uzbek market.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to maintain regular contacts within the framework of the designated format of interaction in order to reach practical agreements.
