Senate amends law “On licensing of separate types of activities”
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Senate of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan approved a law “On introduction of changes and amendments to law “On licensing of separate types of activities” on Friday, 26 August 2011.

During the discussion of the law, Senators underlined that the document is prepared and adopted in line with the State Programme “The Year of small business and private entrepreneurship”.

The document is directed at increasing efficiency and simplification of licensing procedures, as well as eliminating variant reading of the law, cutting expenses of the businesses at obtaining licenses and attracting businesses to licensed activities.

The document abolished requirements on notary approved copy of certificate of registration of legal entity or individual entrepreneur and introduces norm, which envisages collection of fee for license, equal to expenses of the regulator.

The law determines that license can be abolished by licensing body or court. The law also set norm, which requires licensing body or court to set term for licensee to eliminate conditions, which brought to suspension of the license.

The law stipulates that information on list of licensees will be placed to website of the licensing body, which will protect consumers.
