Turkmenistan urges starting work on new Caspian gas line early

Turkmenistan has proposed to Russia that construction of a new Caspian pipeline to carry Central Asian gas to international markets via Russia begin sooner than the previously agreed start date in the second half of 2008, Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov said Friday.

Tajikistan starts importing Turkmen electricity via Uzbekistan

Turkmenistan started supplying electricity to Tajikistan, a source at the Tajik Energy and Industry Ministry has told Tajik website Avesta on 22 November.
