Rescuers Assist Injured Tourist in Greater Chimgan Mountains
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Emergency responders from the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MCHS) provided assistance to a tourist injured during a hiking expedition in the Greater Chimgan mountains in the Bostanlyk district of the Tashkent region.
According to the ministry, at 14:05 on 24 May, the regional emergency department received a report that one of ten tourists participating in a mountain hike had fallen and required urgent assistance.
Rescue teams from the Chimgan rescue unit were promptly dispatched to the scene. The injured tourist was provided with first aid and safely evacuated from an altitude of approximately 2,300 meters above sea level.
After evacuation, the individual was handed over to emergency medical services.
Authorities reported that the tourist’s condition is currently assessed as good.
