According to the Russian financial regulator, the volume of remittances from Russia to Uzbekistan in the third quarter of 2017 reached US$780 million. The growth made up 21.11% compared to the same period in 2016.
At the same time, US$17 million of remittances were transferred from Uzbekistan to Russia in the third quarter of 2017, which is 15% less than in the same period of 2016.
The amount of one transaction from Russia to Uzbekistan in the reporting period increased from US$476 to US$519 and from Uzbekistan to Russia fell from US$1,295 to US$1,099.
In the first nine months of 2017, remittances from Russia to Uzbekistan totaled US$1.72 billion (US$1.37 billion in the first 9 months of 2016), and from Uzbekistan to Russia - US$49 million ($68 million).
