Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Uzcharmsanoat Association held a meeting with representatives of the veterinary service of the Kyrgyz Republic, who are in our country on a working visit as part of a delegation headed by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers - Head of the Presidential Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic.

During the negotiations, the practical side of the implementation of joint projects for the processing of leather and wool, the creation of automated slaughterhouses, preliminary agreements on the implementation of which were reached during the visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Kyrgyz Republic at the end of January 2023, were discussed.

We are talking about the creation in the Issyk-Kul, Osh and Jalal-Abad regions of 28 automated slaughter enterprises based on Uzbek technologies. To date, 10 of them have already been organized.

In a separate order, the parties considered the possibilities of developing and implementing new industrial projects. Thus, the leadership of Kyrgyzstan plans to establish wool processing and production of finished leather in the country in the coming years. In this context, the partners are interested in the experience of Uzbekistan as the leader in the production of finished leather in Central Asia. In our country, 89.7% of the skins of cattle and small cattle are processed into leather, thus, by the end of 2022, 2.2 trillion square meters were produced. dm. skin. For a more detailed study of the experience of Uzbekistan in terms of organizing the processing of leather and wool, a business tour to the Fergana region will be organized for Kyrgyz colleagues.

In addition, at the meeting, agreements were reached on the implementation of joint projects in the leather and footwear industry of Uzbekistan, which are being created on the basis of Kyrgyz capital. In this regard, a decision was made to form a special working group and develop a roadmap for the implementation of joint projects.
