Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In 2023, 2,237 projects worth 10 trillion 300 billion soums will be implemented to develop livestock and its industries. Alisher Safarov, head of the department of the State Committee for the Development of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Husbandry, announced this.
In order to efficiently use natural resources in the republic, the production of biogas and biohumus will be launched in 46 farms specializing in large-scale animal husbandry.
To strengthen the fodder base of animal husbandry, fodder crops were sown on an area of 483 thousand hectares.
About 10% of the area irrigated by cotton and grain farms, i.e. 206,000 hectares, will be sown with alfalfa alternately.
Some 23,000 heads of cattle and 105,000 sheep and goats were imported from abroad.
