PRAGOIMEX to deliver two trams to Uzbekistan in August

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan will receive first two trams, produced in the Czech Republic, in August 2011, the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Tashkent said.

The Czech Republic’s PRAGOIMEX, member of TW Team alliance, inked contract on supply of 20 trams of low-floor VarioLF trams for capital of Uzbekistan, Tashkent.

According to the embassy, the Czech company will deliver first two trams to Tashkent by the end of August 2011 and they will be commissioned to exploitation on 1 September 2011.

It is expected that other 18 trams will be delivered to Uzbekistan within 2012.
