Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 20 October, negotiations were held at the Uztekstilprom association with Ugo Gilardi, president of Itema Group, a leading global supplier of advanced solutions.
The Italian group of companies Itema, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of textile machinery, exports its products to more than 100 countries. At the end of 2022, the company’s revenue amounted to US$306 million.
Having visited Uzbekistan following the visit of the Head of State to Italy this year, the foreign partner expressed special recognition, having familiarized himself with the development of Uzbek textiles, and for its further development, he emphasized the need for the production of equipment in Uzbekistan for finished products with high added value, including fabrics and technical fabrics.
In this regard, issues such as the relocation of projects for the production of weaving equipment and components to Uzbekistan, the attraction of innovative technologies, the opening of a service center and company representative offices, and advanced training of Uzbek specialists were discussed in detail.
As a result of the negotiations, it was agreed that specialists from Italy would be sent to Uzbekistan to conduct marketing research.
