Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- According to preliminary data, in January-September 2021, the comprehensive total income of the population reached 371.3 trillion soums, the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said.
In order to exclude the influence of price factors for calculating the real growth rate of household income, the consumer price index (CPI) is used - one of the important types of inflation indicator. Due to the change in consumer prices, the growth rate of the total income of the population, compared to the same period in 2020, in real terms amounted to 110.4%.
For January-September 2021 (for nine months), the average per capita nominal total income of the population was higher than the national average value in the city of Tashkent – 20 760.1 thousand soums, Navoi – 17 238.3 thousand soums, Bukhara – 13 144.4 thousand soums, Tashkent – 11 940.8 thousand soums and Khorezm – 11 430.2 thousand soums.
For January-September 2021 (for nine months), the lowest indicator of the average per capita nominal total income of the population was recorded in the Republic of Karakalpakstan – 8 018.2 thousand soums, Ferghana – 8 076.9 thousand soums, Namangan – 8 413.1 thousand soums and Kashkadarya – 8 908.5 thousand soums in regions.
The indicator of real growth of total income per capita for January-September 2021 was 108.3%, the same indicator for January-September 2020 was fixed at 98.0%.
The highest indicator of real growth rates was recorded in Khorezm - 14.0%, Ferghana - 11.7% and Tashkent - 11.2% regions. Real growth rates below the national average were noted in Tashkent city - 0.2%, as well as in Syrdarya - 4.7%, Jizzakh - 6.6%, Andijan - 6.8%, Navoi - 7.3%, Kashkadarya - 7.9%, Surkhandarya regions 7.9% and the Republic of Karakalpakstan - 8.1%.
A significant increase in the total volume of total income of the population is mainly facilitated by significant changes in income from labor activity (income of employees and income from self-employment), which account for 64.8% of total income and 26.2% are income from transfers.
In the total income of the regions, the largest share of income received from labor activity (income of employees and income from self-employment) was observed in Jizzakh region (76.8%). On the contrary, in the Khorezm and Samarkand regions, the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the city of Tashkent, as well as in Surkhandarya, Namangan, Ferghana and Kashkadarya regions, it was below the average republican level
Income from labor activity (income of employees and income from self-employment) has a significant weight in the structure of the total income of the population.
According to preliminary data for January-September 2021, the share of income from labor activity in the structure of the total income of the population was 64.8%.
The nominal growth rate of income in relation to the corresponding period of 2020 reached 120.2% and contributed to an increase in the nominal volume of total income in the order of 13.3%.
Income growth rates in the past period reached 117.4%, which ensured an increase in the nominal income of the population by 4.7%.
In January-September 2021, the share of the total income of employees among the population was 26.1%.
The highest nominal growth rates of wage earners’ incomes were noted in the city of Tashkent (123.7%), as well as in Tashkent (119.6%), Kashkadarya (118.0%), Khorezm (117.8%) and Samarkand (116, 1%) regions.
Income growth rates in the past period reached 122.2%, which ensured an increase in the nominal income of the population by 8.6%.
In January-September 2021, the share of total income from self-employment among the population was 38.7%.
In the total income of the regions, the largest share of income received from self-employment was observed in Jizzakh (55.8%), Bukhara (48.0%), Andijan (45.1%) regions. On the contrary, in the city of Tashkent and the Republic of Karakalpakstan, it was below the national average.
With an increase in income from self-employment by 1%, the total volume of total income increases by 0.39%.
The largest share of income from self-employment was noted in Samarkand (10.9%), Tashkent (10.7%) and Andijan (9.4%) regions. The regions with the lowest share are the Syrdarya region (2.4%), the Republic of Karakalpakstan (3.3%) and the Navoi region (5.1%).
According to preliminary data, in January-September 2021, the total income from property of the population amounted to 8.4 trillion soums.
The influence of income from property on the change in the total aggregate income of the population is insignificant, in the order of 0.6%.
In January-September 2021, the share of total property income was 2.2%.
Two-thirds of the volume of property income received in January-September 2021 fell to the share of the city of Tashkent - 54.8%. The next regions with significant weight are Navoi (13.5%), Tashkent (7.6%) and Ferghana (4.6%) regions.
The nominal growth rate of income from property, according to preliminary data for January-September 2021 compared to the corresponding period of 2020, amounted to 127.1%. The highest growth rates were noted in Navoi region - 152.2% and the Republic of Karakalpakstan - 147.7%.
The share of transfers in the total aggregate income of the population for the specified period amounted to 26.2%.
According to preliminary data for January-September 2021, 37.5% of income from transfers came from income from social transfers, 62.5% of income from other current transfers.
The share of pensions in the total volume of social transfers in January-September amounted to 78.6%, benefits - 19.8%, scholarships - 1.6%.
Compared to the corresponding period of 2020, the growth rate of pensions in the period under review amounted to 116.0%, benefits - 137.7%.
In January-September 2021, 7.2 trillion soums of benefits and material assistance were allocated for social support of the population. Of these, the off-budget Pension Fund financed 40.6% of insurance benefits, 59.4% was allocated from the republican and local budgets.
The nominal growth rates of remittances from abroad, which are part of other current transfers, in January-September 2021 amounted to 142.7%, and their share, compared to the same period in 2020, in the total income of the population increased by 2.3 p.p., the change in income from other current transfers ensured an increase in the nominal value of the total income of the population by 6.0%.
The largest share of remittances in the total income of the population is registered in Khorezm (26.4%) and Samarkand (24.8%) regions. It was also high in Andijan (21.7%), Surkhandarya (20.9%) regions, the Republic of Karakalpakstan (20.1%), Bukhara and Namangan (18.6%), Kashkadarya (18.3%) and Ferghana (17.9%) regions.
According to preliminary data for January-September 2021, of the total income of the population, the share of income received from small businesses amounted to 60.6%.
Thus, in the structure of the aggregate income of the regions, it differs: the highest share is noted in the Jizzakh region - 71.2%. The smallest share of income received from small business was recorded in the city of Tashkent - 49.8%, the Republic of Karakalpakstan - 52.5%, Navoi region - 57.9%, as well as in Ferghana region - 60.1%.
