Sayyora Rashidova welcomed the guest and expressed satisfaction on developing the Uzbek-Spanish relations, as well as for opportunity to meet Rafael Ribo. She informed on main directions of the activities of Ombudsman institute in the context of the realization of the Concept of further deepening democratic reforms and forming civil society in the country, adherence of human and freedom rights, etc. She also briefed about Ombudsperson’s cooperation with international organizations.

Rafael Ribo expressed gratitude for creating opportunity to pay visit to Uzbekistan and familiarize with the reforms in the state construction, activity of Ombudsperson. Rafael Ribo discussed perspectives of further cooperation, etc.

Ribo, in his turn, briefed Sayyora Rashidova about the activity of the Ombudsman of Catalonia, joint projects for new Ombudspersons, and invited Ombudsperson to participate at the Ombudsperson Summit in 2012 in New Zealand.

He offered to hold events of International Ombudsperson Institute in Uzbekistan in 2012 and participate in joint projects in cooperation with Ombudspersons in Poland and Korea for new Ombudspersons for Asia and Europe.
