New trams VarioLF start to serve population in Tashkent
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- New modern trams, produced by the Czech company Pragoimpex a.s., started to render services to population and guests of Tashkent city.

As reported earlier, PRAGOIMEX, member of TW Team alliance, inked contract on supply of 20 trams of low-floor VarioLF trams for capital of Uzbekistan, Tashkent.

The Czech company delivered two trams in Tashkent on 20 August 2011 and they started to render services to population and guests of Tashkent on 28 August 2011.

Representatives of Toshshahartranshizmat Association, specialists of the sector, and others became the first passengers.

The capacity of the trams is in average 140 persons and they are equipped with soft seats and ramp for people with limited abilities.

Trams are also equipped with modern electronic management, which allow to save 30-40%. Trams can work in any weather conditions – from 40 degrees cold to 70 degrees hot, as well as energy gap from 400 to 500 volt.

It is expected that other 18 trams will be delivered to Uzbekistan within 2012.
