During the meeting, Ortiqbek Yusupov informed Metropolitan Vikentiy on religious situation in Uzbekistan and achievements of the country on religious and spiritual life of the country.

Ortiqbek Yusupov also briefed Metropolitan Vikentiy on law of Uzbekistan “On freedom of conscience and religious organizations”, activities of the Committee on religious affairs, and others.

Metropolitan Vikentiy expressed gratitude to the head of committee for warm welcome and said he once again make sure in hospitality of the Uzbek people. He expressed gratitude to the leadership of Uzbekistan for create conditions and attention to spiritual life of people.

Speaking about his appointment as Metropolitan of Tashkent and Uzbekistan Eparchy, Vikentiy said that he will continue work of his predecessor and hope for fruitful and joint work in this direction.
