Medicine focused on the health of future generations

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - On 22-23 September, a Scientific and Practical Conference with international participation “Reproductive health of Uzbekistan: achievements and plans for the future” is being held in Samarkand.

It is attended by specialists from all regions of Uzbekistan, as well as leading foreign scientists in the field of obstetrics, gynecology, perinatology, reproductive medicine, molecular genetic diagnostics from more than 10 countries, in particular Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Georgia, Israel, Italy, Great Britain, France, People’s Republic of China, Republic of Korea, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan.

Among the authoritative foreign experts in the field is the director of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “Research Institute of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductology named after. BEFORE. Ott" Igor Kogan (St. Petersburg Russian Federation), Director of the Republican Scientific and Practical Center "Mother and Child" of the Republic of Belarus Sergey Vasiliev (Belarus), Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the Institute of Medical Education NMRC named after. V.A. Almazova Irina Zazerskaya (St. Petersburg, Russian Federation), general-director of the International Association for the Prevention of Cervical Cancer Philip Davis (London, UK), Chief Physician of the Alfred Fournier Institute Jean-Jacques Bobo (Paris, France), Director of the Institute of Reproductive Genetics of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "National Medical Research Center of AGP named after. IN AND. Kulakov" Dmitry Trofimov (Moscow, Russian Federation) and others.

The forum was organized by the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan, the State Institution “Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center for Obstetrics and Gynecology”, Samarkand Regional Perinatal Center.

At the opening, the head of the Department of Maternal and Child Protection of the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan, Ikrom Amonov, addressed the participants with a welcoming speech. He emphasized that a healthy mother and a healthy child are the key to a prosperous nation.

“In this regard, it is necessary to strengthen and develop, mastering and introducing new technologies and diagnostic methods into medical practice, equip medical institutions with the latest diagnostic equipment in accordance with the requirements of the time, improve the quality of diagnostic services provided in the field of obstetrics, gynecology and perinatology,” I noted Amonov.

At the conference, colleagues from different countries discuss innovations and experience in domestic and international reproductive medicine, obstetrics, gynecology, and perinatology.

In total, the program included more than 100 reports. Among the topics discussed that are relevant today for the effective protection of motherhood and childhood are modern approaches to the management of pregnancy in case of somatic diseases of women, critical situations in obstetrics and the importance of interdisciplinary communications for their resolution, oncogynecological diseases, innovations in the surgical treatment of diseases of the reproductive system and others.

The conference will include 4 master classes, a round table, 2 plenary and 12 sectional sessions.

The conference also saw the signing of two agreements on mutual cooperation between the Republican Center for Obstetrics and Gynecology of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Federal State Budgetary Institution “National Medical Research Center named after V.A. Almazov" (St. Petersburg, Russia) and the State educational institution "Institute of Postgraduate Education in Health Care of the Republic of Tajikistan" (Dushanbe, Tajikistan).

As Natalya Nadyrkhanova, director of the Center for Obstetrics and Gynecology and head of the Conference Organizing Committee, noted, such intensive scientific exchange, practical recommendations based on evidence-based medicine, and the experience of leading specialists from around the world will provide an opportunity for an even more thorough approach to solving problems in the field of reproductive health. The result of these efforts is the health of women and the younger generation of Uzbek citizens, and improved medical care for the population of the country as a whole.
