Measures on preventing illegal tree cutting to be taken in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Khokim of Tashkent Jahangir Artykhodjayev, the head of Tashkent city police department Rustam Juraev, the Chairman of the Public Council of Tashkent city Khikmat Abdurakhmanov and representatives of the Public Council held a meeting.

The main topic of the event was preventing illegal tree cutting in Tashkent.

During the meeting, the sides considered measures, adoption of which would prevent illegal tree cutting in the Uzbek capital.

Head of Tashkent city police department said that police officers will take additional measures to control movement of trucks with woods.

Tahshkent city governor proposed to organize a campaign on planting trees in the city and added that the khokimiyat would support it.

Rustam Juraev also called population to inform about cases of tree cutting to police. The police officers will react on this issue.
