In the final of the continental championship, he defeated Kamshibek Konkabaev from Kazakhstan. He won the sixth gold medal of the national team of Uzbekistan.

Also, Khasanboy Dusmatov (up to 51 kg), Abdumalik Khalakov (up to 54 kg), Ruslan Abdullayev (up to 63.5 kg), Saijamshid Jafarov (up to 75 kg) and Navbakhor Khamidova (up to 66 kg) became Asian boxing champions.

Odiljon Aslonov (up to 80 kg), Madiyar Saidrahimov (up to 92 kg) and Sohiba Ruzmetova (weight category up to 75 kg) won the silver medals of the Asian Championship.

The bronze medalists of the continental tournament were Shahzod Muzaffarov (up to 54 kg), Adhamjon Mukhiddinov (up to 60 kg), Asadkhuja Muydinkhudjaev (up to 67 kg) and Farzona Fozilova (up to 48 kg).
