Kyrgyz Honey Producer Enters Uzbekistan Market

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A Kyrgyz honey producer is entering the Uzbekistan market, marking a new step in expanding bilateral trade ties between the two countries, according to the Trade Representation of the Kyrgyz Republic in Uzbekistan.

The Trade Representation reported that it has supported the Kyrgyz company “Medovaya Artel” in entering the Uzbek market by assisting with business registration, providing guidance on local regulatory requirements, and advising on market conditions.

As part of this support, the company signed a lease agreement on 9 April 2026 for retail space at the Food City trading complex in Tashkent. The location will serve as a distribution and sales point for Kyrgyz honey products in Uzbekistan’s capital.

The first export shipments are expected to total approximately four tons of natural honey in the near term.

Officials said the project is aimed at expanding Kyrgyzstan’s export potential while strengthening trade and economic cooperation with Uzbekistan. The Trade Representation added that it will continue supporting domestic producers in entering foreign markets and developing bilateral economic ties.
